We are a BESTPRACTICE accredited companion animal clinic offering full medical and surgical services. We aim to provide you and your pet with exceptional care and service throughout their visit or stay. We offer you the service that is in the best interest of your animal.

Equine Medical and Surgical Services
Our Equine Services function as a close team and whilst studs, trainers and owners have their regular veterinarian call, your animal may be seen by one of the other veterinarians at different times. We do keep each other well informed.
Our quality Equine Service is BESTPRACTICE accredited to the New Zealand Veterinary Association Standards.
We offer you the service that is in the best interest of your animal. Where ever possible we will explain the work, costs and economics of the various options of treatment and together make a decision.

Equine Dental Services
We have a dedicated qualified equine dental technician to service your horses teeth. Horses 5 years and over should have an annual dental examination unless stated otherwise. This will ensure that the mouth is kept balanced and free from dental disease. Annual examinations are very important as the horses teeth are continually erupting and the horses mouth can change a lot over a year.
Dental disease has been under recognised as a cause of health and behaviour problems for many years. A full oral examination will highlight any existing or future problems that can be corrected to prevent any problems later on. Cheek teeth abnormalities are least likely to be found without a full oral examination.

Farm, Dairy and Rural Services
Hamilton Veterinary Services has been providing veterinary service to production animals since 1961.
Dr Hugh Kingham and Dr Murray Bertram service the majority of production animals whether on large production farms or lifestyle blocks and are experienced in all aspects of production medicine. We offer a full range of services for a whole range of different species including dairy cattle, beef cattle, deer, sheep and goats.

Megan Murray is our experienced dog groomer with a wealth of knowledge on all breeds. Just discuss with her your grooming and styling needs.

We run weekly training classes for dogs starting with puppy preschool classes for early socialization and graduating to our basic obedience and agility course.
